About

The past is a place to begin. Everything we inherit arrives with a history. We keep what still holds, learn from what no longer does, and make it our own.

Our garments often begin with a vintage reference, something made with purpose: military trousers, a uniform, a piece of functional menswear. We are drawn to how it was built and the small decisions that have outlived its original use. Then we shift the proportion, reconsider the fit, and remake it in cloth that moves differently. The edge remains, but the feeling changes. Familiar, though not quite what you remember.

We source fabrics from mills in Japan, South Korea, and Portugal, choosing each for its character, movement, and feel. Every garment is hand-cut and sewn in Los Angeles. The design is worked and reworked until the cloth, the shape, and the construction feel right together.

Each piece is considered, but never too precious to live in. We hope it is worn for years, perhaps put away for a while, then found again.

Before founding Loveday, Amanda Loveday Robertson spent years designing for global names and emerging labels.

Loveday is Amanda’s middle name, and was her grandmother’s maiden name before it was hers. The name had a life before the brand. It has another now.
